We all have spills on our carpet, some left years ago, some more recent! In most situations, the difference between being able to remove the stain, or having a permanent un-sightly spot on the floor is simply some quick action.
Go Clean is available 24hrs a day for those emergency spills, but there are some things you can do yourself to minimise the damage before we can attend.
The worst thing you can do is to scrub the stain! scrubbing can push the stain deeper into the carpet fibers, backing or underlay making it harder for your Go Clean technician to remove.
The next thing you should avoid is adding a combination of chemicals that you don't know what they're going to do to the floor. Many cleaning solutions contain bleaching or oxidizing agents which can cause permanent discolouration, or depending on the type of stain can cause it to set permanently.
These actions are WORSE THAN LEAVING IT, so avoid the temptation at all costs!
Its a good idea to have a bottle of GO-Spot Carpet cleaning solution in the cupboard, which is great for most grubby marks, but other spills can benefit from some additional knowledge.
